When I was a student, I used to go to Jimbocho to buy pamphlets of old Western movies, American comics and subculture books.
I've always loved American superheroes like Spiderman and Batman since childhood and this is how I discovered @Wonder, by wandering around Jimbocho. This area became the foundation of my current way of thinking and a real inspiration for my work. A word that I use as my motto is ‘Onkochishin’ (温故知新), it means ‘going back to the root of things, and from that discovering new wisdom’.

From the outside, Ohka looks like a trendy select store. But once you enter, you’ll find a place to relax filled with the owner’s favorite items and special finds. This shop is very special to me: I had the opportunity to hold a solo exhibition here and I always end up meeting inspiring people, reflecting on things I don’t understand. Also, the gyozas and craft beers are delicious! If you visit the bar as the night gets darker, you might get the chance to hear rare stories along with a glass of tequila.
