I have always been familiar with 'tawashi' (Japanese sponge), but this shop is unique. The staff take care to explain the history of the tawashi, how it's used, and the concept behind the designs. It's quite impressive. It’s just a sponge, but with the love and care of Japanese craftsmanship.
