Design Festa Gallery is a small independent gallery with no entrance fee, where anyone can exhibit their art. Hidden behind the gallery is a small outdoor space where you can drink cheap coffee surrounded by art. For me, seeing independent artists’ works are more powerful than paying an expensive entrance fee at a cold, clean-cut, art museum.

Micmo has three different stores located in Shimokitazawa; it’s cheap, and they update their stock every week. When preparing for my projects I always go to Micmo and spend hours browsing every piece of clothing.
