I started dancing from the age of 18, then went to NYC when I was 22. I tried to study not just street dancing, but the essence of it as well. After returning to Japan, I've been part of both the mainstream and underground scenes. I'm part of the dance group "enra", and we've performed in 25 locations both throughout Japan and the world.

The chef here goes to the US every so often to research and tighten the screws on his fine American dining. The staff is young, but the service is always spot on. If not anything else, the exterior of the cafe, the terrace, and the overall vibe is great.

There are Wired Cafes throughout Tokyo, but this one is much more than a cafe. This one is part of a bookstore and gives the feel of an atelier or gallery. The interior is fancy, they have great speakers, and there are records hanging on the walls. A great place for a dancer! It's often busy, so I come a little early in the morning and find time to relax.

For me as a performer, I feel Tokyo is the center of entertainment, and also the window for opportunity. The city where everything comes together. I was originally thinking of returning to NYC upon returning to Japan, but at a certain moment, I felt that using Japan as a hub and working throughout the world was a better vision. To accomplish that, being in Tokyo was a must, and I'm happy to say I've come close to the life I imagined when I made the decision to stay.
