8-BIT CAFE
80s-90s era video games, manga, music and pop art are my favorite things. This bar has it all. As much as I love a simple and clean atmosphere of cafes like N3331, my eyes grow wide with excitement of dusty collected treasures from an era bubbling with excess and exaggeration. Art books, themed video game drinks, mix-matched furniture and lovingly used figures decorate and exude an eccentric personality of this 5th-floor Shinjuku bar.

N3331 CAFE
A perfect example of Tokyo extremes. An easy to miss cafe nestled in Akihabara (without maids or anime figures), it's an ironically relaxing oasis built between 2 train tracks on an abandoned train platform. You can quietly sip tea or eat while the Chuo line rushes past you on either side

Tokyo is a city that I feel reflects my personality. The atmosphere of the city and its conflicting extremes seem to work together seamlessly. The texture of the buildings and the light shapes they create, the flowers blooming in winter and the little shrines tucked away in a quiet neighborhood alley create a relaxing afternoon walk. I love both sides; it's soothing and exciting all at the same time.

OOSAWA CAMERA
I found this place wandering around Ebisu on a lunch break, where the great font on the yellow sign pulled me in. There are many mom and pop film shops in Tokyo where you can drop off film, but this place has great character, and the staff is always so friendly. Japan is known to take care of their cameras really well, so you'll find many old relics in like-new condition.
